Walking around Brooklyn took me to the house where I grew up (at least one of the many) and the 7th Ave. subway stop that took me to school each morning. This is on the stairway going down into the depths and I suppose the yellow line is so you don't miss the stairs altogether. Perhaps there is ancient gum buried under layers of yellow MTA paint.

I know I am supposed to be doing this (posting) more often, but this is after all, blobs of gum on the street. Then again, the very mundane-ness of it all forces me to find things that interest at least me ( I can't speak for anyone else!). Perhaps the sheer amount of gum blobs just seems overwhelming? At least this was a cool passing shadow as the clouds cleared.

STREET GUM MANIFESTO
That sounds kinda harsh and revolutionary, which this is not. The only rules or mission statements that seem to make sense is to leave the gum as found (I think it is probably good hygiene as well!).
1. Photograph gum, blobs, blotches, spots, and the environment as they exist on the streets of NYC.
2. Someone else has to have left the artifact.
3. Don't get lazy. Find new gum.
4. I chew a lot of gum myself, put it in the garbage.
